  2. †Model 1: Estimated GFR and log transformed cystatin C, and microalbumin/creatinine ratios were analyzed separately in an individual ordinal logistic model.
  3. ‡Model 2: the first ordinal logistic regression analysis was performed using log transformed value of cystatin C and estimated GFR together. The second model used log transformed values of cystatin C and microalbumin/creatinine ratios as variables. All models were adjusted for covariates: age, sex, total cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, previous heart disease, smoking, previous anti thrombotic or anticoagulant use, and white matter lesions.
